About FanDuel Sportsbook

It seems like yesterday that FanDuel was battling with legislatures regarding the legality of its daily fantasy sports offerings. In reality, that is old news, as FanDuel now operates one of the fastest-growing sportsbooks in the country.

They still do DFS, and it’s still hugely popular. But in today’s world of legal sports betting, if there is a state allows sports wagering, FanDuel isn't far away. It either has a FanDuel sportsbook in the state already, or it is planning to introduce one.

The company was founded in 2009 by a group of people who wanted to innovate fantasy sports. FanDuel is now innovating the centuries-old sports betting industry with its many proposition bets and in-play options.

FanDuel Promo Code Bonus

It’s not free money, which we would prefer to see. But it is a way to get your new sports betting account off the ground without risk.

Place your first wager with FanDuel and wait for the result. If it loses, you will be given an equal amount in betting credits, up to $1,000.

Your first bet automatically qualifies for this offer, so no FanDuel promo code is required.

If you have multiple bets on your initial betting slip, the first bet is the risk-free bet.

FanDuel Promo Code Terms and Conditions

  • Only a losing bet will result in betting credits being given. If your first bet wins, no betting credits will be awarded.
  • Betting credits received can only be used to place wagers and are not eligible for withdrawal.
  • You only need to wager your bonus bets once.
  • Credits will appear in your account between 24 and 72 hours.
  • You must use your betting credits within 14 days of them being awarded.
  • This risk-free bet offer is not good with any other promotions or bonuses.

Other Bonus Offers

FanDuel doesn't offer any welcome or deposit bonuses. However, they make up for that with a variety of interesting regional and sports specific bonus plays.

For example, in Colorado, if you place a preseason futures wager on the Denver Broncos to make the NFL Playoffs, you will get $5 in bonus credits for each game they win during the regular season.

They also offer similar bets on the Colorado Avalanche with the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the Denver Nuggets and the NBA Playoffs.

There is also a rotating daily prop bet (sports, news, pop culture, etc.) that is free to play but pays out $5 if you win. Play every day for free, and you could win $5 on top of your daily winnings.

While we would like to see FanDuel offer new registrations more in upfront bonus money, they do make continuing post-registration wagers on their website both enjoyable and profitable.

FanDuel Players Club

If you are familiar with FanDuel’s DFS offerings, chances are that you are a member of the FanDuel Players Club. Enrollment in it is automatic. But unfortunately, at this time, it is only available to DFS customers and not users of the FanDuel online sportsbook.

Sports Wagers at FanDuel

FanDuel’s changing of fantasy sports is one of the biggest reasons many Americans are now familiar with smaller sports and more obscure world leagues. And that is reflected in the sports and wagers that FanDuel offers its customers.

Available Sports

The number of sports isn’t quite as vast as with some other sportsbooks. There is no Aussie rules or rugby betting, and not quite every soccer league is available.

That said, you can still wager on soccer in Belarus, as well as most of the leagues across Europe. And South Korea warrants a tab across the main soccer betting page.

There is boxing, cricket, cycling, darts, golf, tennis, MMA, and NASCAR. And naturally, if you want to bet on baseball, football, basketball, and hockey, the options abound.

Available Wager Types

Some of the sports options are lacking, but the available wager types within the sports that are offered reflect FanDuel’s innovative mindset when it comes to changing how we bet.

Naturally, there are standard single-game bets that we’re all familiar with.

But once you get inside each game, you truly see how many different bets you can place.

Just clicking on a single soccer match, you’re immediately taken to a 'Popular' tab that includes (along with the moneyline bets on each team) correct score, both teams to score, halftime result, and spread 3-way.

By clicking on the 'Goal Props' tab for just this one match, you will find nearly 60 more options to bet, including half with most goals, total team goals, halftime correct score, and away and home team over/unders.

Clicking on 'Spread Props' gives you even more options, and the 'Half Markets' tab provides another 35 potential bets to place. All on one regular-season soccer match.

You can also place futures wagers on sports and leagues from across the world, including the winner of next year’s Super Bowl (NFL) and Grey Cup (CFL). Next year’s Wimbledon is already taking bets, as are all major golf events. You can even place a wager today on the winner of the 2023 Cricket World Cup. India, England, and Australia are the three favorites.

The great thing about FanDuel and its flexibility is that any of these possible bets, from +1600 on Sri Lanka to win in 2023, to the away team going over 2.5 goals in this weekend’s featured Bundesliga match, can be combined into a single parlay.

In fact, one of the real standouts on FanDuel’s usability is just how easy it is to set up parlays, teasers, round robins, and other specialty wagers.

FanDuel Sportsbook Website

When you find a website that is done right, like FanDuel’s, it always makes you wonder why so many others fall short. The blue and white colors are clean and easy to read.

The layout of the sports on the left-hand column makes sense - popular sports on top, then a list of sports from A to Z. And the entire right-hand side of the page is an electronic bet slip that looks, well, like a bet slip.

Add in the middle of the page, and the way the sports, the matchups, and the corresponding odds are spaced and colored, and it’s all just so pleasant to use. Seriously, why can’t everyone make a website this clean and user friendly?

FanDuel Sportsbook Mobile App

The FanDuel sportsbook app feels and operates much the same way as the website, but on a smaller scale and without the different columns. Sports are now listed in a scroll across the top, or an A-Z list accessible at the bottom of the screen.

The bet slip that is the right side of the screen on the website can be seen by clicking on the center button along the bottom of the screen. Once it’s accessed, it looks and feels exactly like the site.

To download the Android app for FanDuel’s sportsbook, you’ll need to go to the FanDuel website. The Google Play store does not allow any wagering apps, so you won’t find it there.

FanDuel, of course, wants to make it easy for Android users to download the app, so they provide detailed instructions that walk you through the relatively simple process.

The FanDuel iPhone app is accessible from the iPhone app store. One important note - unlike some other sportsbooks, FanDuel does not have state-specific apps.

Regardless of where you are placing your sports wagers, one app will do. The location services on your phone will automatically log you into the local app.

Signing Up with the FanDuel Promo Code

The first thing the site asks when signing up for a new account is your email address and desired username and password.

From there, you will enter your name, address, date of birth, phone number, and the last four digits of your social security number. You then need to confirm that you are 21 years old, no one else will be allowed to use your account, and there are no state laws that prevent you from placing sports wagers.

At that point, you’ll have the option of turning on two-factor notification as an extra means of security, and then you’re done.

Banking With FanDuel Sportsbook

No matter which state you are registered in, your deposit options with FanDuel remain largely the same. This includes the ability to make deposits using bank transfer, credit and debit cards, echeck, FanDuel prepaid card, PayPal, PayNearMe, or cashier’s check.

Before making any deposits, make sure you are using the correct account. The wallets for FanDuel’s DFS site and its sportsbook site are separate, and money cannot be transferred between the two.

For withdrawal, you can use PayPal, prepaid card, online banking, or check. PayPal withdrawals process within 12 hours. Prepaid card withdrawals can take up to 24 hours.

Online bank transfers take three to five business days. Having a check mailed to you will take between seven and 10 business days to arrive.

FanDuel Customer Service

FanDuel customer support is easy to find on their website and app, and equally as easy to use. It’s also quite extensive in its collection of help articles that can get you started on solving the issue at hand.

Those articles are filed under nine main categories:

  • Current Sportsbook Updates
  • Account Help
  • Deposits, Withdrawals, and Taxes
  • New Sportsbook Account Promotions
  • Existing Sportsbook Account Promotions
  • Available Markets, Betting Guides and Rules
  • FanDuel Location and Information
  • Geolocation Help
  • General

If the search there doesn’t answer your question or solve your problem, there are many ways you can contact a customer service agent directly. FanDuel offers email support, 24/7 online chat, and a toll-free phone number that is also staffed 24 hours a day.

In an age where many companies are doing away with phone support or paring back its hours of operation, this is one area that FanDuel truly does stand out above the rest.

Use the FanDuel Promo Code Today!

Right now, no FanDuel promo code is needed to take advantage of the risk-free bet offer. However, this could change at some point, so sign up today and enjoy a risk-free bet of up to $1,000.

FanDuel Sportsbook FAQ

I already have a FanDuel DFS account. Do I need to register for a sports betting account?
+

Yes. Not all state laws governing DFS and sports betting are the same, and many tax rates are different. Therefore FanDuel has to keep their daily fantasy sports and their sports betting operations separate.

That means that you, as a FanDuel customer, will have to register for a different account for each type of gaming that you want to play. This also means that money in one account is not transferable to the other.

Does FanDuel promote responsible gaming?
+

Across the top of the FanDuel website is the 800 number for the National Problem Gaming Helpline Network. Next to that on the page is a link to FanDuel’s efforts to support responsible gaming. Those include the ability to set daily deposit limits, wager limits, time on the site limits, and self-exclusion.

From this page, you can also find links to several other resources to assist people in dealing with gambling addiction.

Is FanDuel a good option for new sports bettors?
+

FanDuel has an entire section of its website and app called Sports Betting Training Camp. You can learn about the most basic of sports bets, betting terms, and dos and don’ts of wagering.

So even if you’ve never stepped into a sportsbook or placed a single sports wager, by the time you’re done reading, you will be ready and comfortable to place your first bet.
